Exterior blinds make a great insulator as they protect glass, and therefore the inside of the room, from getting overheated, and control the amount of daylight they allow in. There are various types; some blinds are mounted above the window, others are fitted onto it, they can be tapered, and concealed. Each of these can be made of stainless steel or be coloured, and feature various boxes, guides, and bottom channels, and they can open manually using cords, tapes, folding wands, or cranks; or automatically by means of a remote control, switch, control unit, tubular motor, and sensors.
