Before you actually start building your house, there’s a lot of earthwork to do, such as excavating a construction pit, construction of temporary and permanent breast walls and/or retaining walls, digging trenches for plumbing and sewerage, compaction, and backfilling. In construction, all works related to preparing a construction pit are considered earthwork, so they can be roughly divided into excavation and filling. We don’t recommend you do this work alone without the appropriate experience and equipment, as this can lead to soil failure and extremely dangerous damage, which can further cause delays and higher costs.
