The easiest way to rearrange the interior is through dry construction. Dry construction involves installation of partition walls, suspended ceilings, tightly attached ceilings, etc. This type of construction employs Knauf gypsum fibre panels and gypsum panels. Advantages of such construction are numerous—it’s quicker, cheaper, and easier as there’s no need for construction machines. The sole purpose of partition walls is to separate rooms and they have no load-bearing functions. Partition walls composed of gypsum panels allow homeowners to redecorate their homes and add new rooms. Gypsum panels are mounted on metal or timber profiles, which provide stability. Knauf, polystyrene, XPS, OSB, or eco panels, gypsum and similar composite products are installed on either side of a profile. Partition walls usually come as semifinished products to be pasted or screwed onto a surface, after which the final finish is applied. Dry construction also involves installation of suspended ceilings and insulation of an attic or a loft, where proper insulation is especially important—the insulation layer must be at least 25 cm thick, wall and roof junctions must be airtight.
