Diamond drilling and cutting do not cause vibration, so it’s a quieter option that doesn’t create any cracks, damage to walls, nor does it require any repairs afterwards. Dry drilling, however, creates less dust, which would otherwise spread around. Diamond drilling is, for instance, used when widening old chimneys to install a new flue pipe. It’s also used for making window, door, and staircase openings, or repairing drain openings for pipe replacement. Diamond blades are also used for cutting tarmac when laying drains or accessing infrastructure lines for other installations. The greatest advantages of diamond cutting over the use of air tools include faster and cleaner work and lack of surface and sub-surface damage.
