The entrance roof is constructed off-site using wood strips installed in the tongue and groove to highlight the grooves and allow the wood to condition naturally as the color changes over time.

For the building, the contractors mostly used materials readily available locally; in this case, "wood" was used. The buildings frame and the roof structure are primarily made of wood, and louvers are used for the windows. Cement board was used for the exterior frame to create a canvas for the impending wall paintings. Once more, Japanese procedures were essential in waterproofing the fence (which was braided together) and the frame hoods using the Shou-Sugi Ban weathering method.

However, roof beams are covered with polished plywood to achieve crisp lines inside. Shipping container panels were employed as the entry door for the buildings entrance for added protection and to provide the building with some illusion. The result is a harmonious blend of form and function, creating interiors that look great and feel great to be in.
